    110gn 30cal for Blackout

    Thanks to Wes Biryhday sale I picked up a couple new grain weighted rounds to play with, that said here we go;

    I am not new to reloading for 300BO, however my main gr of choices 150 and higher (about half my loads for subsonic)

    The load data I have found for such a light wieght 30 cal round seem to be pistol. I generally use A1680 for heavier projectiles.
    As with all new load data i know you start lower and ladder up, however i generally start middle from my Hornady book and go from there as needed.
    So my question is with such limited load range on this round what are you guys using?
    I know it's for killing paper and targets but I dont want to blow up my setup.
    Should I expect anything different/special or surprising with this lighter projectile?
    I plan to use W296 this round.

    Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks. 🇺🇸

    I shoot 110 grain bullets almost exclusively for supers. I usually land around 18 grains of H110/W296. The 110-125 grain bullets are deadly on deer and hogs at blackout velocity

    H110 is the most common powder for 110-125gr bullets.
    There is some pretty good data out there for all of them.
    For Subs, AA1680 has been a favorite for years.

    I really rather use a1680, my go to for heavy 308. But looking forward to doing some real light wieght supers.

    So, I now have Talkatap app...so here I go try this again:

    The 300BO round looks small in the mag, ¤ yes, the rounds below it are .223 and are JUST FOR SIZE comparison not implying that you can or should try to chamber or shot 30 caliber projectiles through a .233/5.56 barrel ¤
    Is this normal? I will be shooting through AR15 10.5in pistol & AR15 20in Bullbarrel.

    Load data is included in this reply.

    ☆ unfortunately, due to unforeseen load issues (for hand gun) and an improperly reassembled slide (again, hand gun issue) I was not able to test these last night as I hoped when I post on the FB back-up page.
